Kamal

"I want to improve the conditions of slums in India," says Kamal an obedient, hardworking, and well-disciplined student currently studying in class 12.

Kamal himself lives in a slum and faces many challenges like adjusting to a small room, sitting on the floor, and using his bed as a study table, where a frequent disruption in water supply, hearing the neighbors fight, and unclean environment was a regular norm for him. His father has to travel 4km every day and work to support his family, working for 12 hours as a technician repairing chargers earning a few thousand rupees to support his family.

Despite all the hardship and lack of resources, Kamal has a big dream and a bigger plan for his life. He wanted to be an Indian police officer one day to protect the nation, serve the country, bring justice to the poor, especially to those groups of people who belong to the lower and weaker sections of the society. Also, he wanted to support his parents and be a blessing to them.
