Prabin

Meet Prabin: direct, engaging, swift, fun, organized and hard working - the perfect guy to lead as PMI’s campus coordinator.  Prabin hails from the north east state of Manipur.  Having a heart and passion to help university students, he plays a vital role on PMI’s team.  An easy guy to get to know, he isn’t just an encouragement to students, but a point of connection between them and PMI.  Whether leading a group game or just conversing one on one, Prabin passes on his trademark friendliness making others feel welcomed and comfortable.   He continues to develop his skills, even traveling to such places as the Czech Republic to interact and learn more about students all over the world.

Ashok Kumar

While he may the senior member of our team, Ashok is no less motivated to bring hope to the youth of Delhi. A family man, he and his wife, Rashmi, have one son named Ashish. In addition, he is currently working on his PhD in law at Delhi University. His role on the PMI team is to collaborate with Prabin for the planning and orchestrating of student activities. In particular, Ashok works at establishing contacts with students and then incorporating them as volunteers with PMI. Gentle and humble hearted, he is a man with potential to impact his community.

Monty

In order to function the way it does, PMI requires a dedicated servant. We found just such a person in Monty. Running errands, purchasing supplies, and keeping the building well maintained and clean may not seem like much - but on PMI proportions, it’s a huge undertaking. Having been with us for almost two years, he not only handles the task efficiently, but willingly. Monty also has a great sense of humor, often imitating the people he observes. If you happen to be around at the right time you might also seem him bust a move on the dance floor.

Umesh

Serving for nearly a year, Umesh is someone who really loves and cares for the children in Nandlal. Presently, he is a leader in the BSP program. He is continuously seeking innovative ways to better teach and invest in their lives.

Anil

A smooth guitar lead and gelled hair says it all. Actually, Anil brings much more to the table at PMI! While one main program he provides is guitar lessons, Anil is actively involved in leading the BSP program in Nandlal slum. More recently, our work in Nandlal has developed towards not just serving the children, but the whole family, and Anil has been at the helm of this endeavor. Once a part of a band, Anil also presents songs regularly at our weekly Focal Point program.

Jotin

The man behind the lens. Although Jotin works full time at another job, he has faithfully served PMI as our video/camera man for over a year. In fact, whenever an important event is undertaken, Jotin is there to document it.

Krishan

Of our many volunteers, Krishan is one of the few truly dedicated to serving kids. Each morning he travels to Nandlal slum where approx. thirty kids gather for PMI’s Pathshala program. His ambition in serving is to see these kids prepared to one day enter school. In Hindi and English these small children are learning the basics. When he’s not busy with Pathshala, Krishan is often called upon by the rest of the team to cook up some of his excellent chai!

Scott

Scott is a long-time friend of PMI who moved to India recently to be part of what we do here! He has a background in student government on campus in the United States and has worked in non-profits and software industry there as well! You'll see him around at all the PMI programs, feel free to chat to learn more about the US or to practice your English! But, he may just ask you more questions about India and Hindi!

Kham

The softer side of PMI, Kham keeps the boys in line with her friendly and fun demeanor. She assists with all the CHEP programs and loves to connect with PMI volunteers and help them enjoy great opportunities for service and relationship! She is happily married to a musician husband and sings also herself if you ask her nicely!

Praise

Praise joins Kham in their sisterly management of the PMI boys! Always ready with a smile and a helping hand, where would PMI be without Sis Praise? She manages the library and sees that everyone feels at home.

Kari

Kari is American, but you'll have to ask her what country she actually grew up in! While she's here with PMI she's teaching English classes, helping with designing graphics for PMI and helping with Pathshala. Kari loves to meet and talk to the girls who come to COC and Focal Point! Come by soon and meet with her!
