Child Health & Education Program
Our passion is to encourage University students to be part of serving the community in various ways. PMI has sought to identify the areas of need in the communities and endeavors to practically meet them with not only immediate but long term impact.
One of the greatest needs is in education of children, particularly those of slum areas. PMI has chosen the NANDLAL SLUM for it’s overall development. This slum has approximately 1000 families, and for the past 3 years, PMI has been focusing on the education of the children and the health of the women and children. PMI has selected many children to encourage in their education and future life dreams. Volunteers join us to help tutor these children. We also monitor their health, teach hygiene, and give medicines & vitamins as needed. This is a long-term program with the goal of sending these children to college.
